A triple-header at the La Salle Science and Technology Complex in Canlubang kicks off October football at the Ang Liga preseason tournament.
The first match sees cellar dwellers Emilio Aguinaldo College and University of Perpetual Help System Dalta duke it out at 10am. Both the Generals and the Altas have yet to score a goal in the tournament, let alone manage a point.
The first afternoon match of the day sees the University of the Philippines face off against the University of Santo Tomas at 1pm. The defending Ang Liga champions are on the outside looking in, five points adrift from the triple tie at second to fourth place at 12 points, which includes the Maroon Booters.
The final match of the day sees Ateneo resume play after participating in a regional tournament in Korea. The UAAP champions are facing a Lyceum side that is fresh from their first defeat so far against National University last week. The Blue Eagles only have a win in three matches so far, although they have played the fewest matches so far in Ang Liga play.
