The football field inside the La Salle Science and Technology Complex in Canlubang is set to host a doubleheader for the Ang Liga tournament.
Opening things up at 10am is a Div II matchup between two struggling sides, with Malayan Colleges-Laguna facing Perpetual. Both squads have lost all of their matches so far in the tournament, hoping a positive result would lead to a good momentum swing for the remainder of their campaign.
In the other matchup, pacesetting UP seeks to continue their impressive form against the College of Saint Benilde at 1pm for Div I play.
It will be a battle of the best offense and defense, with the Maroons averaging four goals per game going up against a Blazers side that has yet to allow a goal in the tournament.
With just 13 points to their name in five matches, CSB is also looking to solidify its position for the postseason, with the likes of UST and San Beda still hoping to break into the top four. In contrast, UP is looking formalize its entry into the semifinals by winning their seventh straight game.
