Michael Dasmarinas marks his Ringstar debut with a win |
Dasmarinas needed just two rounds to dispatch his Thai opponent, Phupha Por Nobnom, in what was scheduled to be a six-round affair.
He says, "I am thankful to all those who helped me win this fight. To my friends, my manager, my family, thank you to all of you. This is for all of you."
With the win, Dasmarinas is in line for a title fight next year.
The main event of "The Roar of Singapore III" saw hometown bet Muhamad "The Chosen Wan" Ridhwan outpoint his Namibian opponent Nataniel Sebastian after twelve rounds.
Ridhwan secured 115-113, 115-113, 115-114 scores from the ringside judges to secure a unanimous decision victory to improve his record to 9-0, while dropping his opponent to 9-1.
RingStar Founder and CEO Scott Farrell shared that they will return with a February 2018 boxing event in Dalian, China, with a return to Singapore this coming April.
