Stallion Laguna FC is looking to continue its winning run in the Philippines Football League, as it hosts JPV Marikina FC this afternoon at the Binan Football Stadium.
The Lakesiders are currently toting a three-match winning streak, including a 5-0 demolition of Ilocos United FC last Sunday. The winning run has put them within striking distance in the race to be part of the top four teams that qualify for the postseason at 23 points.
Head coach Armando Heria says that the team is practicing harder and that they are excited to face JPV. Fitch Arboleda adds that the team added some emphasis on defense during practices in the run up to tomorrow's match, since JPV is a more attacking side heavy on possession.
Fitch also adds that team spirit is high after their last victory, and hopes that this can carry over into this upcoming match.
JPV is also coming off a victory, a 1-0 win over Kaya FC that solidifies its hold on fourth place at 27 points. Voltes has racked up points in its last five matches since that four-match losing streak.
