Adamson bounced back from their previous loss, grinding out National University in UAAP Season 80 men’s basketball tournament this past Sunday evening inside the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, 83-76.
Fresh from their 85-73 loss to La Salle last Wednesday, Head Coach Franz Pumaren noted that "We played smarter basketball today compared to last." His counterpart, Jamike Jarin, said that "Adamson's guards outplayed us."
Papi Sarr played his best ball for the Soaring Falcons, contributing 19 points and 13 rebounds, while Jerrick Ahanmisi and Jun Espeleta combined for 26 points. Jerie Pingoy starred on both ends of the court with twelve points and six steals.
It was a typical grit-and-grind for both teams as Adamson starting to find their groove for the season and controlling the game from the get go.
Jjay Alejandro led the Bulldogs with 25 points.
Both Adamson and NU are now tied in the standings at 2-2. (c/o Kim Karlo Castro)
