Preseason is coming |
The first LIVE preseason game to be shown will be the Milwaukee Bucks and the Dallas Mavericks on October 3 at 8:30am. With the Eastern Conference weakened by the departure of some stars, the Bucks look to make a play to be one of the top four teams in the East. In contrast, the Mavs are entering the 20th season of Dirk Nowitzki still searching for that combination that could enable them to contend again in a now-stacked Western Conference.
Here are the other preseason games that will be shown on S+A:
October 4 at 7:30am: Brooklyn Nets vs New York Knicks. See how the Knicks play without Carmelo Anthony and with Kristaps Porzingis as their main centerpiece.
October 5 at 7am: Memphis Grizzlies vs Philadelphia 76ers. Markelle Fultz and Ben Simmons up against a Grizzlies side that is looking to establish a new identity.
October 9 at 7am: Golden State Warriors vs Minnesota Timberwolves. The defending champs face the revitalized upstarts boosted by the presence of Jimmy Butler.
October 10 at 730am: Houston Rockets vs New York Knicks. See how Chris Paul and James Harden mesh as ballhandlers.
October 11 at 8am: Cleveland Cavaliers vs Chicago Bulls. LeBron James gets new teammates. See how Derrick Rose and Dwyane Wade work with the King, Kevin Love, and Tristan Thompson, while the Bulls figure out things as they pick-up the pieces after Wade and Butler's departures.
October 12 at 7am: Boston Celtics vs Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics have a new "Big Three" to showcase, as Al Horford, Gordon Hayward, and Kyrie Irving face the duo of Kemba Walker and Dwight Howard.
The much-loved NBA Action will also make its return for the upcoming season, with the first episode slated to be shown on starting this Friday, October 6 at 11am.
In addition, ABS-CBN Sports is also going to show Game 4 of the WNBA Finals between the Minnesota Lynx and the Los Angeles Sparks, albeit on a delayed basis. Telecast is pegged at 12nn, with an 8pm replay. (The best-of-five series is currently tied at 1-1, with Game 3 scheduled later this morning).
