Still a perfect record for Ateneo Blue Eagles in Season 80, after prevailing over FEU Tamaraws 94-82 in the second part of the men's basketball doubleheader on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Thirdy Ravena led the way for the Blue Eagles putting up solid numbers of 18 points, 11 rebounds and five assists. Anton Asistio and Matt Nieto helped also in scoring department with 16 points and 11 points, respectively.
It was a fast paced start for Ateneo, knocking down 7 threes to give them an early 12-point advantage. FEU would mount a comeback later on by making shots and playing defense. Asistio tallied 14 of his 16 points in the 1st half and Ateneo took a 10 point advantage.
Ravena, Chibueze Ikeh and Matt Nieto took over in the 3rd qtr and started converting shots giving Ateneo a 15-point lead.
Wendell Comboy led FEU with 12 points. Meanwhile, former Blue Eagle Arvin Tolentino put up 11 points, all in the fourth quarter.
