The University of the Philippines announced on Sunday that Quentin Millora-Brown's grandfather has passed away, and as such, will not be available for the matchup between the Fighting Maroons and the De La Salle Green Archers.
Millora-Brown has flown back to the United States to be with his family at this moment in time.
In a statement released through the Office for Athletics and Sports Development, head coach Goldwin Monteverde shares, "We understand, we respect, and we support Q's decision na umuwi muna to spend time with his family. The MBT and, I'm sure, buong UP community rin are with him ngayon, as they mourn the loss of a family member. Let's all pray for him."
The one-and-done graduate transfer from Vanderbilt and The Citadel is averaging 8.1 points, 8.9 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks so far, leading the way for UP in attempting to replace Malick Diouf.
In Quentin's absence, expect the remaining big men to share the load as a unit, led by Dikachi Ududo, Gani Stevens, and Sean Alter.
He will fly back to the Philippines on Monday, arrving here on Wednesday.
After tonight's matchup against the defending champions, UP will be facing Far Eastern University on November 16.
