Great UP Run set to support UP Maroons

This coming Sunday, November 17, the 2024 edition of The Great UP Run is set to take place within the grounds of the Diliman campus of the University of the Philippines.

Featuring distances from 3K, 5K, and 10K, the event is the first race organized by the Rio de la Cruz-led RUNRIO, Inc. back in 2007. It has been a special moment for all kinds of runners to be able to go through the scenic surroundings.

Gun starts for these distances are 4am for 10K, 430am for 5K, and 5am for 3K.

In this latest edition, they have tied up with the UP Office for Athletics and Sports Development (UP OASD), as they remain committed to supporting their student-athletes.

In reaffirming their partnership, UP OASD Director Bo Perasol says, "We're grateful na katuwang natin sina coach Rio para matulungan ang lahat ng varsity natin. We're excited to be hand-in-hand with them in this very meaningful and impactful event."

Aside from the UP OASD, The Great UP Run is also supported by the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs, and the College of Human Kinetics. InLife serves as a major sponsor, with Gatorade and Le Minerale acting as official sports drink and official hydration partner, respectively., while Olympic Village and Decathlon are its official kit claiming partners.

Other entities backing the event are Robinsons, Southstar Drug, San Miguel Brewery, San Miguel Foods, Inc., CDO Foodsphere, Inc., Universal Robina Corp., Park Access, Green Tee, Inc., Chips Delight, Katinko, Medethix, Skintech, Luxe Organics, Astrotel, Microtel, and University Hotel.
