The UAAP announced on Tuesday afternoon that a one-game suspension has been issued towards Precious Momowei.
He will be serving the suspension on Wednesday, November 13, when the University of the East faces the Ateneo de Manila University at the Quadricentennial Pavilion inside the University of Santo Tomas campus.
Said suspension is as a result of two Category 2 unsportsmanlike fouls that were assessed on the foreign student-athlete during the Red Warriors' match against UST last Saturday, November 9.
The first instance took place at 5:18 mark of the second quarter, with the second one called at the 5:07 mark of the fourth quarter. As a result of getting two such calls, Momowei was ejected from the game.
According to league rules, if a student-athlete gets disqualified, thrown out, or ejected from a game due to unsportsmanlike behavior, said individual will be prohibited from participating in their upcoming game.
It would be the second straight season that Momowei is suspended by the league, just two days off to the anniversary of said sanction. Ironically, the suspension was invoked against the Blue Eagles.
