The three stripes is set to make an official return to the collegiate scene.
adidas and National University (NU) revealed a three-year partnership on Friday, naming the former as the official outfitter of the university.
Such a partnership allows the Bulldogs to be adorned with adidas apparel and footwear starting the 87th season of the UAAP.
The university is fresh from securing podium finishes in the first completed event of the league calendar this schoolyear, reclaiming the men's division crown and securing bronze in the women's division of badminton. The team is already in the thick of the action in basketball, chess, and high school volleyball, with athletics, taekwondo, and beach volleyball to come later this month.
In making the announcment, National University president Dr. Renato Ermita shares, "At National University, we are champions at heart—never the underdogs. This partnership with adidas gives our student-athletes the tools and confidence they need to excel on national and international stages."
NU Athletic Director Otie Camangian adds, "This partnership is a promise to continue striving for greatness. With adidas by our side, the Bulldogs will rise higher and achieve more."

Established in 1900, NU has a rich legacy of academic and athletic success, with the Bulldogs symbolizing resilience and excellence in Filipino collegiate athletics, managing to eke out a championships here and there.
In the previous season, they claimed titles in both men's and women's collegiate volleyball, with the former securing their fourth straight crown, and the latter having just secured their fourth title in its history.
They also won championships during the past schoolyear in baseball, men's athletics and taekwondo, and women's tennis. Whilst falling short, they also considered as the top contenders in women's basketball and in the cheerdance competition.
With such achievements across all of its events they participate in, NU's student-athletes continue to compete at the top levels wherever it may be, always rising above pressure and staying focused on their goals. Having a partnership with adidas will encourage them to channel their strengths further and inspire the present and future, taking to heart adidas' latest rallying cry, "You Got This."
Aside from the current partnership with the student-athletes, adidas will work closely with NU in developing team wear that reflects the latter's heritage and the student body's spirit.
Such limited-edition school merchandise will be made available for NU students, alumni, and supporters at select outlets of adidas, Sports Central, and SM Department Stores starting November 9, with SRPs of PhP 1,300 at the minimum.
