La Salle outpaces NU to share UAAP lead

It was a high scoring and fast-paced game that saw DLSU Green Archers prevailing over NU Bulldogs, 115-109 in UAAP season 80 men's basketball tournament, Saturday afternoon at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This is the first meeting of Aldin Ayo and Jamike Jarin since transferring from NCAA.

Both teams came out on firing to start the game that saw DLSU having a 3 pt advantage at the half. In the 3rd canto, it was NU who came out strong leading by as much as 11 before the Green Archers closed the quarter with a 22-8 run.

In the 4th qtr, it was a see-saw battle with DLSU reaching the hundred mark first before the Bulldogs tying the game at 102.

Ricci Rivero was the one took over for DLSU scoring 5 straight pts. He finished the game with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists. 5 more players finished with double digit output for them.

Jordan Bartlett leading the way for NU ended the game with 23 points, 4 rebounds and 4 assists.
