Ateneo downs Sarr-less Adamson in UAAP opener

It was the Chibueze Ikeh show as the Ateneo Blue Eagles routed the Adamson Soaring Falcons, 85-65 at Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City. 

Ikeh took advantage the absence of Papi Sarr for Adamson, that saw him tallied with 18 points and 17 rebounds. Thirdy Ravena had an impressive outing also winding up with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists.

The Adamson did really miss Papi Sarr, as Ateneo managed to took advantage the rebounding department, 60-35.

Adamson tried to make a run in the 4th qtr as they cut the lead to 9 but Nieto came up with back to back steals to pushed their lead back to double digits.

Rookies Kurt Lojera and Keith Zaldivar led for Adamson with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Jerrick Ahanmisi with a poor game tallying only 9 points and shooting 4/16 from the field. (c/o Kim Karlo Castro)
