Games today (July 17) (Filoil Flying V Centre, San Juan)
8am: Perpetual vs Arellano (HS)
10am: Letran vs Mapua/Malayan (HS)
12nn: Perpetual vs Arellano
2pm Letran vs Mapua
4pm San Beda vs JRU
6pm San Beda vs JRU (HS)
The Tuesday NCAA six-game bill scheduled today at the Filoil Flying V Centre will feature a couple of teams seeking to join idle Lyceum atop the standings.
San Beda and Mapua attempt to snatch back-to-back victories against teams seeking to bounce back from defeats in their season openers.
The Red Lions are slated to cap off the collegiate action at 4pm against Jose Rizal University, while before that, the Cardinals will be tacking Letran at 2pm.
The defending champions fended off Perpetual on Opening Day, 67-65, whilst Mapua spoiled the homecoming of the Heavy Bombers, 72-60 in the first NCAA on Tour game of the season.
The other collegiate matchup features the season debut of Arellano as they face the Altas at noon time.
The Chiefs seeking a decent campaign without key contributor Kent Salado, who is sitting out the season due to injury. Jerry Codinera might just resort to true freshman Guilmer dela Torre in filling that role, although he has other returnees in Michael Canete, Levi dela Cruz, and Rence Alcoriza.
On the other hand, Perpetual is fresh from their 78-75 win over Letran last Friday, with UE transfer Edgar Charcos peppering the Knights with 27 points.
