The surprising early run of Perpetual and their newcomers continues, as the Altas spoiled Emilio Aguinaldo's portion of the NCAA on Tour with a 76-74 victory last Thursday afternoon at the Generals' home gym in San Marcelino.

It was Kim Aurin's turn to shine for the Frankie Lim-coached side, as the JRU transfer had a near triple-double performance with twelve points, nine rebounds, and eight assists in under 37 minutes of action. He also added a steal and a block for good measure.

Edgar Charcos continued to put up offensive numbers, as the UE transfer finished with a game-high 22 points. Like Aurin, Prince Eze almost had a triple-double for the Altas, netting fifteen points, 22 rebounds and nine blocks, as they moved into solo third place behind undefeated Lyceum and San Beda.

Eze was instrumental in limiting his EAC counterpart Hamadou Laminou, who finished with twelve points and eight rebounds.

The Generals once again fell short in the final stretch, as a late run by Perpetual allowed the visitors to snatch a 75-69 lead with under a minute left, and although they managed to whittle that back down to a two-point deficit, Jerome Garcia missed a game-tying jumper at the buzzer to send the Generals alongside JRU at 0-3 for the season.

True freshman Maui Cruz led EAC with eighteen points, three rebounds, and a couple of assists, while Garcia finished with seventeen markers.

EAC did managed to secure a afternoon split, as the Brigadiers managed to snatch their first win of the season with an 83-78 victory over the Junior Altas.

Cjay Boado led all scorers with 23 points, while Ely Ilustrisimo and Bhen Lozano combined to score 25 for EAC-ICA.

Mark Gallano led Perpetual with twenty points, as they suffered their first defeat of the season.
