Weather postpones NCAA games scheduled today

The NCAA yesterday decided to postpone the basketball matches scheduled today at the Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan, citing inclement weather conditions brought about by Typhoon Gardo.

In a statement, NCAA Management Committee chair Frank Gusi says, "Because of the bad weather, we are postponing all NCAA games tomorrow (today)."

He added that the postponed matches will be rescheduled to the latter portion of the first round, which is scheduled to conclude on August 21.

The affected matches are the following matchups between these HS and collegiate teams:

Colegio de San Juan de Letran vs Emilio Aguinaldo College
Perpetual Help System Dalta vs La Salle-College of Saint Benilde
Arellano vs San Beda

The Squires/Knights, /Brigadiers/Generals, Greenies/Blazers, Braves/Chiefs were set to make their season debuts.

With the postponement, the next scheduled NCAA playdate is this coming Thursday, with Jose Rizal University and Mapua kicking off the second season of the NCAA On Tour at the former's gym.
