The Pirates held the Heavy Bombers to just seven points in the second quarter to establish a 45-23 halftime lead, and then poured it on after the break, eventually erecting a 36-point lead at 71-35 before cruising their way to the end for their third straight win.

Head coach Topex Robinson shared to the media after the game, "From start to finish, we want to make sure the game will be out of reach because we don’t want to commit the same mistakes that we made in our game against EAC where we blew a big lead."

JRU absorbed their second straight loss to join idle Generals at the bottom of the league.

The other collegiate matches saw both College of Saint Benilde and Letran enter the win column.

The Blazers rode on a strong fourth quarter to secure a 90-79 victory over Mapua, as Yankee Haruna bounced back from a first half benching in their season opener to unload a game-high nineteen points.

A 17-0 run by CSB secured the win for head coach Ty Tang, with Haruna scoring eight of those points.

Justin Gutang also contributed a double-double with seventeen points and ten assists, as well as three rebounds.

The Knights rode on their veteran leadership to secure an 83-76 victory over San Sebastian in the final collegiate game of the week.
