Henry forces NCAA postponement

Another Tuesday waylaid by the weather.

Complications from Tropical Storm Henry (international name Son-Tinh) forced the NCAA to postpone its Season 94 matches today at the Filoil Flying V Centre.

The announcement had been made at the end of the first quarter between Perpetual Help Junior Altas and the Arellano Braves, with the former leading, 21-19, after the league initially said that games are a go for today.

When seeking confirmation of the postponent, NCAA Management Committee chairman Frank Gusi affirmed the pronouncement.

He adds that the Junior Altas-Braves match will be replayed from the start and the other matches will be rescheduled towards the end of the eliminations.

This makes it back-to-back Tuesdays that the league had to postpone its matches as a result of the weather after Gardo forced the cancellation of matches for what would have been the second playdate of the season and first with college and high school matches on the same date.

The league is scheduled to resume play on Thursday with the second installment of the NCAA on Tour series, where Arellano is finally set to make its season debut against Emilio Aguinaldo College at the Arellano Gym.
