From the initial roster submitted to the PSC-POC SEAG Task Force, the men's lineup, coached by Marlon Maro and assisted by Marlon Pinero, Popoy Clarino, and Anthony Albao, has two revisions: Borlongan and Grommen have been inserted to replace Val Calvo and Rey dela Torre. In addition, save for Belgira, this is the same team that was sent to Cambodia for the AFC U22 Qualifiers, which the team was unable to secure a victory in.
As for the women's lineup, there are four changes to the team that is coached by Let Dimzon and assisted by JP Merida and Gerald Orcullo. Almeda, Arce, Duran, and Lemoran replace Mae Collatos, Isabela Mahoney, Angge Metillo, and Jesse Shugg from the initial roster submitted. Virtually the entire core of the team that qualified for the AFC Asian Cup for Women in Jordan next year has been brought back, bolstered by a couple of additions that had been invited to the tryouts for that competition but had to bow out then.
To prepare for this competition, both teams separately partook of a training camp in Japan, which included friendlies against local squads.
