University Town. Season 2. |
Highlighting this particular episode are a couple of King Tamaraws and an "Unkabogable one," as Arwind Santos, Johnny Abarrientos, and Vice Ganda reminisce about their alma mater.
Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho get to listen to stories from both Santos and Abarrientos, who each took their respective Tamaraw squads to the championship while also supporting their families along the way.
The Flying A already wrote himself into the annals of Philippine basketball, while the Spiderman is on his way to doing the same.
Meanwhile, many who know of Vice Ganda's current endeavors would not know that the "It's Showtime" host was a Political Science student, and dreamt of being a public servant.
In addition, Robi and Gretchen will catch with the last two UAAP MVPs in athletics, in Clinton Bautista (UAAP Season 78) and Janry Ubas (UAAP Season 79), as they share their rigorous training preparations to illustrate FEU's dedication to sports. The latter in particular, since the taping of this episode, has gone on to win a bronze medal for the Philippines in the 29th Southeast Asian Games inside the cavernous Bukit Jalil Stadium earlier this week.
The duo of Bautista and Ubas harkens back when FEU also had two of the best long jumpers in the region in Elma Muros-Posadas and Marestella Torres-Sunang.
The FEU episode of University Town is on this Sunday, August 27, at 1pm on S+A and its HD sister channel. It will also have a primetime telecast on Monday, August 28, at 8pm. This also happens to the final stop before the start of the UAAP Season on September 9.
