The Philippines seeks to end their stint in the AVC Asian Senior Women's Volleyball Championships on a positive note, as they kick off the final day of play at the Alonte Sports Arena in Binan, Laguna.
After bowing to Chinese-Taipei in straight sets yesterday, 25-19 25-20 25-19, the hosts will be in the 7th place game against Kazakhstan, who lost in their classification matchup against Vietnam, 25-22 25-18 21-25 20-25 15-5. The Philippines vs Kazakhstan duel is a rehash of their meeting during the first set of pool matches, with the Central Asians winning, 25-23 25-20 25-19.
Said matchup will be shown LIVE on S+A at 10am, with an immediate replay to take place at 2pm, before the #NCAAOnTour matchup between Perpetual and San Beda at 4pm.
The championship will be decided between Japan, which beat China in straight sets 25-17 25-18 25-18, and Thailand, which beat Korea in straight sets 25-20 25-20 25-21. It will take place at 530pm, but the telecast will be shown on S+A at 630pm on a slightly delayed basis. If one missed that one, there is replay slated at 10pm on Saturday, August 19.
Filipinos can get one last chance to watch Kim Yeon Koung and her Korean teammates in the third place game against China at 3pm inside the venue, or at 830pm later on S+A. One can also catch the replay at 8pm on Saturday.
As an added treat, S+A will also replay all the games of the Philippines in the next two weeks, starting this Monday, August 21, at 12nn.
