| Lunar New Year and the NBA |
The upcoming week kickstarts the National Basketball Association's Lunar New Year celebrations in the Philippines.
Taking place in both NBA Stores in the country, the league is coursing its 13th edition of celebrating the holiday through a "Pick & Pop" promotion.
Lasting from February 5-11, customer at either the branches of SM Megamall or the SM Mall of Asia will have a chance to pick a red envelope if they make a minimum in-store single receipt purchase of PhP 5,000. Said envelope will contain a chance to win special prizes, including gift vouchers and NBA t-shirts.
Actual NBA-related Lunar New Year celebrations commenced as early as this past Monday, January 29, when the Detroit Pistons hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder. 25 teams will have a variety of LNY-related activities, including in-arena activations, local community initiatives, and content on their respective digital and social platforms.
