With the start of the 2018-19 sporting schoolyear looming in the horizon, the UAAP-NCAA Press Corps looks back at the previous season by honoring its outstanding basketball players with the 2018 Chooks-to-Go Collegiate Basketball Awards.
This year's edition of the ceremony will take place on June 21 at the Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros, with the scribes expected to honor standouts from the UAAP and NCAA champions, Ateneo de Manila and San Beda.
The Blue Eagles captured the men's collegiate crown over rivals La Salle, with Thirdy Ravena and coach Tab Baldwin leading the charge, while the Red Lions of Robert Bolick and coach Boyet Fernandez overcame Lyceum to claim the league's tenth title in the last twelve seasons.
In addition, the Press Corps will also hand out special awards to breakout performers from this past season.
The ceremony is sponsored by Chooks-to-Go and The Bayleaf Intramuros.
