Danny and Shaun Ildefonso |
The main highlight of the show sees Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho hang out with noted alumnus Danny Ildefonso, whose son Shaun makes an appearance. The latter just transferred to NU from Ateneo during the offseason, as he tries to follow-up on the legacy his father developed.
Gelo Alolino and Glenn Khobuntin |
Two members of the Season 77 championship team, Gelo Alolino and Glenn Khobuntin, also share their life as students during the show.
NU Women's Basketball, the hottest team in collegiate sports as of the moment. |
One new quirk of "U-Town" is being able to shed some spotlight on the less prominent sporting disciplines, take for example their excellence in Women's Basketball, Lawn Tennis, Badminton, and in the highly anticipated Cheerdance Competition.
In white, that is Mark Marcaida |
One of the segments for this edition of U-Town features men's football player Mark Marcaida. Those who have been watching UAAP football telecasts will be familiar with his story. He's partially deaf and mute, but yet he has been able to pick up and execute their game plan, while also being able to balance things as a student-athlete from the province, in his case, Masbate.
Already in its second season, University Town aims to feature all eight schools participating in the UAAP.
