The Creamline Cool Smashers are set to bring in additional flavor to the upcoming Premier Volleyball League.
This was acknowledged by their Team Manager, Sherwin Malonzo, when the team was officially introduced during the league's press conference earlier this month. He says, "The Creamline Cool Smashers will be a solid force. We vow to give the PVL field a tough fight every time we set out to play. We may be cool, as our ice creams are, but we are also tough."
Creamline will be bannered by volleyball superstar Alyssa Valdez, with a mix of veterans and future stars backstopping the Ateneo alumna. Joining Valdez as fellow Cool Smashers are Pau Soriano, Ces Racqraquin, Coleen Bravo, Aerieal Patnongon, Jamela Suyat, Joyce Palad, Ivy Remulla, Janel Serafica, and Jona Ibisa. Serving as reinforcements for Creamline are Laura Schaudt and Kuttika Kaewpin.
Malonzo believes that the team has "what it takes to win the crown," adding that "Creamline is here to win, because our ice cream products are winners, too. We have to live up to what we offer."
Creamline will open the season against Perlas Spikers at 6pm, capping off the triple-header to mark the opening of the PVL on April 30.
