Arellano completes NCAA Track three-peat

Arellano University secured its three-peat at the final day of the NCAA Season 93 Track and Field tournament this past Monday at the PhilSports Oval in Pasig City.

The Chiefs secured another gold with the 4x400m relay, with its quartet of Christian Milano, Reynaldo Gimoto, Christian Traje and Billy Boy Endrina topping the event with a time of three minutes and 25.05 seconds.

This, alongside its other previous golds secured through Aristeo dela Pena in the long jump and John Carlos Corpuz in the discus throw helped Arellano fend off Mapua and Jose Rizal University. The Chiefs ended up with a total of 802.5 points, while the Cardinals and the Heavy Bombers finished with 640.5 and 370 points, respectively.

This is Arellano's third collegiate crown, after its triumph in women's volleyball and women's badminton. And if you ask its ManCom representative Peter Cayco, they are not yet done. He shares, "We are now reaping the fruits of a reinvigorated program and hopefully, we will go for a four-peat next season."

San Beda ended up on top of the the HS division with 647.5 points. Perpetual would finish second with 561.25, while defending champions Emilio Aguinaldo College finished in third with 522.5 points.
