Jr. NBA Philippines alumni visit Heart Center child patients

Jr. NBA Philippines alumni Thirdy, Tyler, and Rhayyan, with Jr. NBA Philippines Coach Ruben Lanot
One of the recent traditions that the Jr. NBA Philippines program has conducted is how some of their alums have brought holiday cheer to young patients.

This year's edition had 2011 All-Star Thirdy Ravena, 2013 All-Star Tyler Tio, and 2014 All-Star Rhayyan Amsali visit the Pediatric Ward of the Philippine Heart Center. Accompanied by Jr. NBA Coach Ruben Lanot, as well as members of the Larc & Asset PR Team, the Jr. NBA Philippines All-Stars distributed stuffed toys to the different wards and provided encouragement to the kids, as they continue their battles against various ailments.

The three hope that they made the kids "feel the spirit of Christmas with the toys and pray that they continue being brace in fighting their everyday battles." To add, being with the kids inspired and taught them the joy in the little things.

On their end, the Philippine Heart Center expressed its gratitude to the Jr. NBA Philippines program for boosting the morale of its patients.

The 2018 iteration of Jr. NBA and Jr. WNBA in the Philippines will commence in January, its eleventh year of participating in the NBA official youth basketball participation program.
