Friday Madness set for S+A

Nightcapper for a special Friday on S+A

ABS-CBN Sports has a special sports smorgasborg on tap for Friday on S+A, with football, basketball, and mixed martial arts scheduled all day and all night.

Live sports action kicks off with the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, as it heads to the playoffs to determine the last few available spots for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Starting at 330am, the first leg of the WCQ between Northern Ireland and Switzerland will be shown LIVE, with the delayed telecast of the Croatia vs Greece matchup, to be shown at 530am.

At 9am, hoop-heads will rejoice, as the matchup between the lone 50-point scorers this season so far get to face off, as LeBron and the Cleveland Cavaliers travel to Texas to face James Harden and the Houston Rockets at the Toyota Center. Those who miss out can check the replay at 12nn and at 6pm.

It will be all about #NCAAStrong starting at 330pm, as undefeated Lyceum faces off against  defending champions San Beda in Game 1 of the NCAA Season 93 Collegiate Finals. The men of head coach Topex Robinson have taken the Pirates to unprecedented levels of success, making the postseason for the first time since they entered the league in 2011. Led by CJ Perez, Mike Harry Nzeusseu, Jesper Ayaay, and the Marcelino twins, they have swashbuckled their way to an 18-0 eliminations campaign, including a dramatic 107-105 double overtime victory over these same Red Lions.

Serving as the main course for the day is the LIVE broadcast of the ONE Championship MMA event, ONE: Legends of the World. Taking place at the Mall of Asia Arena, its main event features the second defense of ONE World Lightweight Champion Eduard Folayang against current ONE World Featherweight Champion Martin Nguyen.

In addition to Folayang, there are Filipinos participating all across the card, including Danny Kingad, who is challenging Adriano Moraes for the ONE World Flyweight title. Others Pinoys on the card are Kevin Belingon, Joshua Pacio, Roy Doliguez, and Gina Iniong. Coverage begins at 830pm.
