Ateneo dismantles Adamson for 8th straight W

Ateneo continues to remain undefeated in UAAP Season 80, dismantling a red-hot Adamson side, 71-59, this past Saturday at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.

With a low-scoring first half at 31-24, the Blue Eagles exploded for 23 points in the third quarter, allowing them to pull away against the Soaring Falcons.

Tab Baldwin's side showed exemplary defense, limiting Adamson to season lows in scoring, assists (five), and threes (1/18). The backcourt of Rob Manalang and Jerie Pingoy combined to shooting 4/18 from the field and 1/8 from outside the arc.

Thirdy Ravena finished with fifteen points, nine rebounds, and two assists to lead the way for Ateneo, with the big man combination of Vince Tolentino and Isaac Go combining for sixteen points, six rebounds, an assist, two steals, and a block.

Papi Sarr matched Thirdy's production in points and rebounds to lead Adamson, which fell to 5-3. (c/o Kim Karlo Castro)
