Marikina could have a new star on its squad, as Kyle Tolentino stood out in their 79-73 victory over Laguna-Krah Asia on Monday night at the Chooks-to-Go Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Kyle, the twenty-year-old son of head coach Elvis Tolentino, led all scorers with 24 points, while adding nine rebounds and three assists.
The elder Tolentino shared post-match, "Ako I never doubted naman e, nakita ko naman yung talent. Sabi ko nga sa kaniya, 'di ko siya gagamitin dahil anak ko siya. Kailangan makatulong siya kaya siya ginagamit." He also adds, "Nakita namin maganda yung schedule, nakita namin yung mga games na ahead e. Maganda kasi nga napanood namin yung iba."
