National University, Adamson, San Sebastian snap up Fr. Martin's Cup wins

National University stamps class against UE
Rhena Itesi led National University in their 74-40 blowout of the University of the East in women's division action at the 25th Fr. Martin's Cup Summer League, which took place at the SGS Stadium in Quezon City.

The foreign student-athlete led the UAAP champions with fourteen points, as they pulled away early on in the first quarter and never looked back, maintaining a double-digit lead throughout the match.

Aside from the women's matchup, the Fr. Martin's Cup also had a couple of high school basketball matches, with Adamson and San Sebastian notching wins.

The Baby Falcons outlasted La Consolacion-Manila, 89-78, with JM Erolon leading the way with nineteen points.

The Junior Royals rode on Christian Alonzo, who led all scorers with 26 points.

As for the Golden Staglets, they closed the game on a 15-2 run to overturn a seven-point deficit in the final seven minutes, defeating Arellano, 72-66.

Dave Baio led San Sebastian with fourteen points, while Ivan Salinel led all scorers with fifteen for the Braves.

The 25th Fr. Martin's Cup Summer League is presented by Resorts World Manila, Bedans 62-66, and Cocolife.
