Buyback program available for Decathlon customers

Decathlon holding a buyback week

Selling your old sports gear online can often feel like a sport in itself—and not a fun one. From dealing with endless "HM po?" comments and extreme lowball offers to the constant risk of getting ghosted by buyers on online marketplaces, clearing out an old bike or camping tent is exhausting for many Filipinos.

To provide a seamless, secure, and rewarding alternative, Decathlon is holding Buyback Week from August 9 to 15, 2026. During this week-long event at participating stores nationwide, Decathlon customers can bring their pre-loved Decathlon equipment directly to branches and exchange them instantly for Decathlon vouchers.

Participating stores—including flagship like Decathlon Pasig (Tiendesitas), Decathlon Alabang, and Decathlon North EDSA—will have dedicated Circular Economy teams ready to evaluate, making it the easiest way for Filipinos to refresh their gear just in time for their next adventure.

Seamless Experience: Say Goodbye to Marketplace Hassles

Unlike public listing sites where sellers have to take dozens of photos, write descriptions, and coordinate logistically challenging or risky meetups with strangers, Decathlonʼs Buyback takes three easy steps:

  1. Get an Estimate: Visit the website to use the online assessment tool and get an initial estimate of your item's value.
  2. Bring it In-Store: Head to any participating Decathlon branch during Buyback Week.
  3. Claim Your Voucher: Once the physical inspection is validated by an expert teammate, walk away with your Decathlon gift card instantly.

Instant, Guaranteed Value for Your Next Adventure

Instead of waiting weeks for an online buyer to ship payment, customers receive the agreed-upon value of their gear loaded directly onto a Decathlon Gift Card the exact moment the in-store evaluation is complete.

This provides, guaranteed value that acts as immediate store credit. Whether a customer is looking to upgrade their current mountain bike, transition from home workouts to outdoor camping, or simply replenish their family's activewear collections, the vouchers offer a friction-free way to fund their next athletic milestone.

Sports Products given a Second Life

Beyond the personal convenience, Buyback is anchored heavily on an environmental mission: preserving the playground we play in.

Every piece of equipment traded into Decathlon enters the "Second Life". Decathlonʼs Circular Economy team refurbishes the gear to ensure it meets safety and quality standards. It is then placed back at a reduced price for another sports lover to enjoy.

By choosing to trade in rather than throw away, Filipino consumers actively participate in the circular economy. This extends the lifecycle of high-quality products, drastically reduces landfill waste, and minimizes the carbon emissions associated with manufacturing brand-new equipment from scratch.

How to Participate in Decathlonʼs Buyback Week (August 9-15, 2026)

Eligible items for trade-in include Decathlon-branded bicycles, tents, fitness equipment, scooters, and other major sporting gear in fully functional condition. For more information, go to

Decathlon reveals VNL Collection as part of FIVB, Volleyball World partnership

Decathlon has teamed up with the Volleyball Nations League (VNL) to launch the exclusive VNL x Decathlon Fan Collection. Designed for the supporters who bring the noise, energy, and passion to the stands, this lifestyle range seamlessly blends iconic volleyball culture with everyday streetwear comfort.
In the Philippines, the exclusive lineup features the official VNL Volleyball available in Size 5 (PHP 850.00), Size 3 (PHP 350.00), and Size 1 (PHP 350.00). The collection also includes fan-essential apparel and gear, featuring the VNL lifestyle t-shirt at PHP 550.00, along with performance arm sleeves and knee braces priced at PHP 450.00 each. The collection is available exclusively at Decathlon stores in Alabang, Pasig, Pasay, and Cebu.

In line with the collection launch and Philippine leg of the VNL Week 2 held at the PhilSports Arena, Decathlon hosted a volleyball clinic featuring current and former Philippine Women’s National Volleyball Team stars Niña Ytang, Faith Nisperos, and Ced Domingo. The event provided specialized, hands-on training for selected aspiring athletes across Metro Manila.

Ced Domingo, a former national team standout and multi-awarded middle blocker, expressed her joy for the continuous growth of the Philippine volleyball community:

“I’m really happy that volleyball, both men's and women's, is getting the exposure it needs and deserves. A lot of people are becoming sports enthusiasts, which is incredibly beneficial for a person’s physical and mental well-being.”

Niña Ytang, the four-time UAAP Best Middle Blocker from UP and standout Alas Pilipinas player, shared how valuable witnessing world-class volleyball action is for her development:

“As an athlete, being able to watch these international players live is the most rewarding experience. You cannot replicate that kind of learning from a screen.”

Faith Nisperos, former Ateneo Lady Eagle and Alas Pilipinas Spiker, shared her passion for mentoring the next generation of volleyball talents:

“Giving back to volleyball has always been one of my life’s missions. Through clinics like this, I get the opportunity to share my knowledge and hopefully inspire them to fall even more in love with the sport. I truly enjoyed coaching because every athlete showed enthusiasm and a genuine desire to learn. Moments like these remind me why I love giving back to the game that has given me so much.”

NBA, Decathlon form partnership

Earlier this week, the NBA and one of the world's largest sporting goods retailers, DECATHLON, formalized a multi-year merchandising partnership. The partnership sees DECATHLON becoming a licensee of the league across Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Through its basketball brand TARMAK, DECATHLON will sell a dedicated and exclusive range of NBA team and league-branded base layers, accessories, and (in select markets,) footwear in its over 1,200 stores worldwide and at Decathlon.com by April 2021. However, one can already start their pre-orders a month before that.

It's a historic moment in particular for DECATHLON, securing its first partnership with a North American sports league.

TARMAK Leader Damien Dezitter shares, "Since the creation of TARMAK four years ago, it has been our dream to collaborate with the NBA, the greatest basketball league in the world. We have a common objective to develop basketball all over the world, so it’s natural to work together to make this possible."

NBA EME Director, Global Partnerships Steve Griffiths adds, "We are excited to partner with DECATHLON, a leader in sporting goods retail with a global footprint. Through this partnership, NBA fans and basketball players around the world will have access to an exciting and innovative range of merchandise to help them get in the game."

In the Philippines, there are three DECATHLON locations: in Alabang, Pasig, and Masinag.
