iWantTFC has secured the rights to broadcast to the ongoing Mumbaki Cup of the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League.
Starting August 20, the ABS-CBN Global service, in partnership with Pilipinas Global Network Limited (PGNL), will be showing games from the league founded by Manny Pacquiao through its streaming service for its overseas audience
A triple-header in Pampanga is slated to kickstart this partnership, with Bacolod Bingo Plus and Rizal EMKAI Xentromall starting things at 5pm, followed by Mindoro Tams Idol Cheesedog against the GenSan Warriors at 7pm. Capping everything is the Imus City Bandera against hosts Pampanga Giant Lanterns at 9pm.
This is the third such agreement between the two parties, having seen its success with the UAAP and the PBA. One can relive the memories of Season 84 through the UAAP Varsity Channel, and as for iWantTFC Premium subscribers, the global coverage of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals between the San Miguel Beermen and the TNT Tropang Giga will be available through their service for those based outside the Philippines and the United States.
