DELTA turns 40 tomorrow

The De La Salle Tae Kwon Do Association (DELTA) turns 40 tomorrow, and to commemorate the occassion, they will have a reunion at the Henry Sy Hall inside the Taft campus.

The sport of taekwondo was introduced to La Salle students by Grandmaster Hong Sun Chon, and the school has produced some of the best jins to represent the country, including Monsour del Rosario and Stephen Fernandez, who are now La Salle Sports Hall of Famers and successful in their current fields in the House of Representatives and College of Saint Benilde, respectively.

The reunion also acts as a fundraiser for DELTA to help procure Precision Scoring Systems, something they have done for La Salle and CSB and intend to do for La Salle-Greenhills and La Salle-Zobel. The PSS helps the jins improve in their participation in various leagues, from the UAAP/NCAA to the Philippine Taekwondo League.
