Messi set to be seen on S+A this weekend.

Football action continues on S+A this weekend, with the telecast of matches from the Premier League and La Liga, fresh from the afterglow of the first Champions League matches that were shown on free TV in quite a while.

Current La Liga pacesetters FC Barcelona travel to the Estadio de la Ceramica to face Villarreal CF early Monday morning at 330am.

The hosts have struggled in league play, having just won once in their last five matches. This form has led them to be seven points behind both Real Madrid CF and Sevilla CF in the league table, and they are coming off a 1-0 loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv in Europa League action this past Friday.

On the other hand Barcelona is looking to pad their lead in the standings, currently at five points against surprising second placers Valencia CF. Fresh from a 2-0 victory against Sporting CP in Champions League action, they look to escape with a win in league play after back-to-back draws.

Before this, Atletico Madrid look to shake off their exit from the Champions League against Real Betis, LIVE this Sunday night at 11pm at the Estadio Benito Villamarin.

Diego Simeone's squad is looking to potentially leapfrog Valencia CF into second place in the standings, depending on the results, while Real Betis is looking to snap a skid that saw them without a victory last month in league play.

S+A will also showcase a couple of Premier League matches. Later at 115am, surprise 2016 champions Leicester City travel to St. James' Park to face Newcastle, immediately followed by Tottenham hosting Stoke at Wembley.
