The NBA, through its Deputy Commissioner and COO Mark Tatum, gave their comments on the announcement by the International Olympic Committee late last night that they are including 3x3 basketball as one of the new events in the Olympic program, starting in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
The NBA has been involved in getting the 3x3 movement off the ground in their own way, organizing a variety of #NBA3X events worldwide.
In the United States, they are currently in the midst of the second iteration of the Dew NBA 3X Tour that will last until October. Dew NBA 3X brings the action to six NBA locations (Chicago, Miami, New York, Washington D.C., San Francisco, and Los Angeles).
In the Philippines, the #NBA3XPH will be marking its seventh straight edition later this year, with AXA coming on board as a presenter. Stay tuned for more details with regards to how teams can participate.
