OMNI Football Cup: Fight to the Finish set for Saturday

The McKinley Hill Stadium in Taguig will once again serve as a hub for football, with the second edition of the OMNI Football Cup set to take place this Saturday, starting at 4pm.

Sponsored by OMNI Electrical and Lighting and toting a tagline Fight to the Finish, the OMNI Football Cup is a one-day seven-a-side football tournament that features over three hundred football players spread across 24 teams in two divisions.

Event Direct Al Alde shares, "We are excited, and the teams are excited. We have so many things in store for this Saturday and we hope everything goes well so we can truly show the football community what an amazing event we can put out. And hopefully, we can maintain a great showing and further improve what we can put out for the football community for the next OMNI Cup!"

Division 1 will have Fairview Amigos FC, All Stars Foot, PayMigas - TDG FC, Matampay United, Panna FC, and Trident FC in Group A, while Batmen United, Gators FC, Suicide Squad Team Kawaii, Stifler FC, Haphets FC, and Luntian United are in Group B.

Division 2 will have Metro Aguilas FC, Alcoholics United FC, Suicide Squad Team Morryzle, McCann United, Philippine Coast Guard FC, and Galastars-DNO A in Group, while Galastars-DNO B, Maningning United, Pendejo FC, Underground FC, Polaris FC, and Groundsbury FC make up Group B.

Division 1 sides are mandated to field a female on-field at all times, with Division 2 sides requiring three females on-field.

Teams are to face their fellow groupmates in 15-minute matches, with the top four teams of each group advancing to the knockout rounds, with cup and plate champions to be determined.

Aside from the football, tons of prizes, freebies, and giveaways will be handed out.

Serving as event partners for OMNI Cup: Fight to the Finish are Head and Shoulders Philippines, MADs Essentials: Food for the Skin, Underground Football, Suicide Squad FC, Fundador, Pik-Nik, and Poke Shack, with Manila Bulletin, Fox Sports Philippines, and Balita Sports acting as its media partners.
