Allianz National Youth Futsal Invitiational concludes, eight picked for AJFC

The Allianz National Youth Futsal Invitational concluded earlier this month at the Laguna Sports Complex in Sta. Cruz, Laguna, with the champions in the Under-14 and Under-16 divisions being determined for both boys and girls.

Kicking things off were the semifinal matches for each of the divisions.

Hosts Laguna FA claimed the Under-14 boys title over Dipolog FC, while a selection from USPF in Cebu took the girls' title over the Tuloy sa Don Bosco Foundation. In the Under-16 division, Global FC / Pilipinas Dragons defeated a selection from Jaro, Iloilo for the boys' title, while Calvary-Pontevedra of Negros Occidental defeated Cordillera Binnadang FC for the girls' title.


The ANYFI also served as an opportunity to discover new talent, and eight were selected to represent Team Philippines in the Allianz Junior Football Camp set to take place next month in Thailand.
