Manila HeiHei smoothly entered into the knockout rounds of the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3x3 Invitational powered by TM on Wednesday afternoon.
The Laus Group Events Centre in San Fernando, Pampanga witnessed Manila win both its games in Pool Play, defeating Pacquiao Coffee Bacolod 21-15 and dispatching Adam Esli Pasay 21-13.
By topping Pool A, they earned a quarterfinal matchup against BRT Sumisip Basilan, who secured second spot by defeating Zamboanga Valientes MLV, 21-15.
Pasig Kingpins topped its pool by defeating the Valientes, 22-10, behind some steady sniping from the Monteclaro brothers. They will face Bacolod in the quarters.
Homegrown Grains Bocaue topped its pool with victories over ARQ Builders-Cebu (21-16) and MNL Kingpin Quezon City (21-17). They will face Essen Immunoboost Sarangani in the quarterfinals, after they were pipped by AMACOR Mandaluyong, 21-20.
Cebu secured second after an impressive rout of Quezon City, 21-11, to set up that matchup against Mandaluyong.
The champion of the invitational will receive PhP 100,000, while PhP 50,000 and PhP 20,000 awaits the rest of the podium finishers.
