The Philippines has been given the honor and privilege to be one of the opening matches of the 2014 FIBA World Cup.
Gilas Pilipinas will open Group B play in Seville against Croatia at 1230pm local time (630pm in Manila) on Saturday, August 30.
Their next match will be against Greece to close out Day 2 (August 31, a Sunday), at 8pm local time (2am Monday morning in Manila).
Match number 3 will be on Monday, the first day of September, against Argentina at 530pm local time (1130pm Monday night in Manila).
After their rest day on September 2, the Philippines will have two more matches, against Puerto Rico at 130pm local time (730pm Manila time) on Wednesday, September 3, and a 2pm clash on September 4, Thursday, against Senegal (8pm in Manila).
The top four teams in the division will advance to the knockout portion of the tournament.
