Five straight wins for Far Eastern University, as they took care of Adamson in just 75 minutes on Tuesday morning at the SMART Araneta Coliseum, 25-17 25-17 25-22, for the UAAP Season 86 Men's Volleyball Tournament.

The Tamaraws took care of the first two sets with ease before outlasting the Soaring Falcons in the final set to secure their ninth win in ten matches, reducing their magic number to just one match to locking in a postseason berth.

Head coach Eddieson Orcullo shares, "Yung service receive, service reception saka yung blocking. ‘Yun ang talagang finofocus naman nang maigi. Sa part ng Adamson, nakita niyo naman hanggang sa huling set talagang nilalaban nila na makuha nila yung match today."

He adds, "Yung game talagang pinaghahandaan namin every single match na mangyayari sa amin. Yung nangyari sa Adamson na game, talagang inaral naman nang maigi yun eh kasi yung coaching staff nila talagang sasabihin natin na ang hirap talunin ni Coach George (Pascua) eh."

Either an Ateneo defeat Wednesday against National University or a win against the University of Santo Tomas on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium will be enough to secure their ticket.

Adamson had a chance to extend the match into a fourth set, reducing the deficit to 23-22 after a successful block touch challenge, but FEU answered back with a successful challenge of their own in the next point, calling a centerline fault on Joel Menor's attack, pushing them into match point.

Vincent Nadera would finish things with a combination play to secure the victory.

Martin Bugaoan led the Tamaraws in scoring with nine attacks and two blocks. Jayjay Javelona and Andrei Delicana each contributed nine points, with Zhyrdryx Saavedra adding eight points.

Setting the tempo was Ariel Cacao with his seventeen excellent sets.

For Adamson, Marc Paulino topscored with seven points and thirteen receptions. Menor and Jude Aguilar chipped in six markers each.

The Falcons dropped to 4-6 this season, with a chance to improve against the University of the Philippines on Saturday morning.
